Walking from Cebu Business Park to IT Park: Faster Than Google Maps!

When you’re living in Cebu, it’s always fun to get to know your neighborhood a little better. Recently, we decided to take a walk from Cebu Business Park (home of Ayala Center) to IT Park, just to see how long it would take us.

Google Maps confidently told us it would take 23 minutes. Challenge accepted. With the sun shining and our curiosity piqued, we laced up our sandals (yes, sandals count as walking shoes in the Philippines) and started our stroll.

The Walk: Ayala to IT Park

To our surprise, it only took us 15 minutes! That’s right—faster than Google Maps predicted. Along the way, we passed familiar streets, lots of greenery, and of course, a good dose of Cebu traffic (which is much easier to handle on foot).

We realized how convenient it is to move between these two popular Cebu hubs. Business Park has its polished mall vibe, while IT Park offers a younger, more energetic crowd and endless food options.

Why We Love IT Park

One of the biggest perks of IT Park is the variety of restaurants. Compared to Ayala Center, you’ll often find more affordable dining choices here, from quick snacks to sit-down meals. There’s always something new to try, and the energy of the area makes it a fun place to hang out.

The Reward: Mang Inasal Lunch

No Cebu walk would be complete without food at the finish line. We rewarded ourselves with a hearty lunch at Mang Inasal—hello, unlimited rice! After 15 minutes of speed walking, it felt like we earned every bite.

Final Thoughts

Sometimes the best way to discover your city is on foot. This short walk from Cebu Business Park to IT Park showed us that our favorite hangout spot is closer than we thought. Now that we know the distance, you can bet we’ll be visiting IT Park more often.

If you’re in Cebu, try it yourself—you might just beat our time! 😉
